The birth of Jesus (Matthew 2: 1-15)

Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw His star as it rose and we have come to worship Him”

King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem. He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?”

“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for that is what the prophet wrote.

There has always been controversy over the offerings given to church and why pastors or men of God take a part of the offering. I’m sure if you have read some of my previous writings, you would know by now that as a child of God you MUST give offering.

Series: Identifying Sin and How to ask for Forgiveness of Sin
Topic: Sin of Fraud and Cheating
Leviticus 6:
Verse 2-3: Suppose you cheat in a deal involving a security deposit (Banking) or you steal (thieves, armed robbers) or commit fraud (yahoo-yahoo boys, fraudulent banker, corrupt politicians and civil servants) or you find lost property and lie about it (people that picks other people’s missing things and sell it or use it for personal purpose, refusing to return it to real owner), or you lie while swearing to tell the truth, or you commit any other such sin”

Understanding What Sin is, and How to be forgiven

Image
(Leviticus 5)
Some sins are intentional while some others are unintentional. But whether a sin is intentional or not, it must be admitted at time, confessed, forgiven, the sinner is purified and an offering for the forgiveness is made to the Lord.
Let me give you a few examples of unintentional sin; you are driving on against traffic on a one-way road, but you didn’t know it is an offence because you are a new driver, or a learner, when you are caught by a traffic controller, you MUST admit first that you committed an offence, and plead for forgiveness, that doesn’t mean you will not be fined.
Good! An intentional sin is when you know that you are not to steal or rape and you do and you are caught, you must admit guilt, confess the sin and plead for forgiveness, that doesn’t mean you will not be jailed or punished, but you will be forgiven.
